Terms and Conditions of Contest World Championship of Duplicate Poker
Introduction
Duplicate (2007) Inc. will hold the first World Championship of Duplicate Poker
in 2008 In this inaugural championship six teams of six members each will be initially
selected from among online players on DuplicatePoker.com. Then, we will host live
quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds at a venue to be chosen. We presently
anticipate that the live rounds will be held toward the end of October or in early
November, 2008. We will provide each team with transportation to and hotel accommodations
and meals at the live tournament. Cash prizes to be awarded will total $120,000.
The general rules, terms and conditions of Duplicate Poker as explained on our Website
will be applicable to the extent that they are not contrary to the specific conditions
of contest set forth below.
Initial Qualification
We have recently introduced a weekly Leader Board from which 180 players will be
initially qualified. See our Leaderboard. Beginning Monday, February
4, 2008, and extending for 30 weeks, the top six on the Leader Board each week will
qualify to play in one of the regional online tournaments, which will be held on
Sunday September 14, 2008. Players will qualify only once. If a player repeats among
the top six in a subsequent week, those below him or her that week will be moved
up on that week's list for purposes of determining qualification. Players who become
eligible to play in the regional online tournaments will be required to respond
to e-mails from us to confirm that they will play in the regionals and to provide
us with current contact information and other personal data, including documentation
supporting residency at the time of qualification. We will replace players who do
not respond or respond by declining with lower ranking players from the past Leader
Boards.
Regions
The current distribution of players on DuplicatePoker.com supports the creation
of the following six regions:
| Team | Region | Territory Included |
| A | Central U.S. | Colorado. Idaho, Kentucky, New Mexico, Nevada,
Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming |
| B | Midwest U.S. | Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri,
North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin |
| C | Northeast U.S. | Connecticut. District of Columbia, Massachusetts,
Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont |
| D | Pacific & South U.S. | Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington,
Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Texas, and Virgin Islands |
| E | Europe | |
| F | Rest of World | All other areas |
* States not listed are states whose residents are excluded from playing in real
money games on DuplicatePoker.com. If the number of players qualifying differs significantly
from the anticipated distribution, we reserve the right to modify the territories
included in the regions in order to create a more balanced number of players in
each regional tournament. A player qualifying for the regionals will be assigned
to a region based on the state or country shown as his or her residence in the records
of DuplicatePoker.com at the time of initial qualification. Players may be required
to provide appropriate documentation supporting residency, such as a passport, driver's
license, or billing documents showing the player's name and residence. Players who
advance in the regionals will be required to provide such documentation to us at
the live quarterfinals.
Regional Tournaments
The 180 Leader Board Qualifiers will be divided into groups of approximately 30
players each and assigned to appropriate regions based on the principles noted above.
On Sunday, September 14, 2008, we will hold six separate freeroll long-form tournaments,
one for each of the six regions. The separate regional tournaments will be held
at times to be announced. The six players finishing highest from each region will
become the members of that regional team. The highest ranking player in each regional
tournament will become the captain of that regional team, or, at his or her option,
will be allowed to appoint another team member as captain. We and the regional captain
will also choose one alternate to be included on the team, who will travel to the
live venue with the team and be available to fill in as necessary and will share
in any prize money won by the team. Alternates may be celebrity players chosen by
us or lower finishing players from the regionals. Team members who cannot attend
the live tournaments will be replaced with others as jointly selected by the team
captain and us, with initial preference given to those with the highest amount of
net total chips in the round preceding the final round robin in the regional tournament.
Members of each of the teams will be assigned a ranking based on their order of
finish in the regional tournaments, or on such other criteria as approved by the
team captain and us. Thus, each player will be assigned a rank of from first through
sixth. If an alternate is substituted for a regular team member during the live
tournaments, the alternate will assume the rank of the player being replaced for
purposes of any given session or match.
Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Championship Live Tournaments
Venue
We are in the process of determining the venue at which the quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds will be played. We are currently considering locations in the Bahamas, France, and Monte Carlo, among others. Final announcement of the location and the dates of play will be made as soon as arrangements have been completed. We presently intend to try to hold the live rounds on a long weekend sometime between October 18 and November 16, 2008.
Travel and Accommodations
Each team member who attends the live tournaments will be provided with round-trip coach class air travel from the major airport nearest his or her home to the live venue or with an allowance to purchase such tickets. Also, we will provide hotel accommodations convenient to the venue. We will provide meals at the designated hotel or the venue for all players during the live tournaments or an allowance for purchasing meals.

Conduct of the Quarterfinals
The quarterfinals will consist of two sessions of 36 duplicated deals each, played at six tables of six players each. Of the six teams, two will be eliminated from the competition at the end of these two sessions. Seating will in part be based on the Team ID letter assigned to that team as set forth in the table above under the caption "Regions". At the discretion of the team captain the alternate may be substituted, in which event he or she will assume the ranking of the player being replaced.
The table below shows the seat assignments in the first and second sessions.
