Learn how to play draw poker games
Draw poker allows the discarding and replacement of cards unlike other games like Texas and Omaha which do not allow replacement of cards. It is not necessary that players be given 3 draw options, some draw games guarantee minimum of just one draw based on the number of players in the table.

The general sequence of flow of the draw games can be summarized as follows:
- Ante or blind – The beginning can be with ante or blind, it depends on the club or site trends.
- Each player is dealt with 5 cards downward, the values are not visible.
- After each player has seen their cards betting round is initiated and completed. If the game had an ante the player left to the dealer initiates the betting, in cases of blinds, the player left to the big blind player initiates the bet.
- The players who are still playing in the draw poker after the betting enjoy the privilege of having their cards replaced. Either all their cards or some of their cards based on what the casino or site suggests.
- Some sites have limitations in card draw games with being able to replace just 3 cards.
- Some sites have limitations in card draw games with being able to replace X cards, beyond which some chips will have to be spent to get the next card.
- The player with the Ace normally has the concession of getting 4 replacements
- A betting round follows the replacement of the cards by all players.
- After the replacements all players show their hand and the best high wins the pot!
The winning hand combinations in draw poker are common like pairs, two pairs, flush, straight, backdoor, royal flush, straight flush etcetera. The splitting based on variation rules can be for high, low or high-low. Some draw poker games allow more than one replacement round like the double draw and triple draw ones!
