Duplicate Poker announced today the release of a new version of its popular game. The new version can be downloaded from www.duplicatepoker.com. If you have Duplicate Poker already installed it will update automatically. The new version offers a new faster game format called QuickPlay, a slick new look to the games and a new mode of "Show ranks".

Tournaments are fun, but they take some time. So we’ve built QuickPlay, a new game that you can play in just a few minutes. QuickPlay games are played with between 4 and 30 players, and work like Sit & Go tournaments – they start when enough players sign up. There is one winner for each seat position, so if the game starts with 4 players, 2 win money – with 8 players, 4 will win. You’ll play only 6 hands, so bring your best game!

There has been a lot of discussion among our players about "Show Ranks" – that is, allowing you to see your position in a tournament while it’s going on. There are good arguments on both sides, but the feedback you’ve given us makes it clear that players want to see their rank throughout a tournament. So, beginning immediately, all tournaments will be "Show Rank" format. Some tournaments, called "Show All", will also show your Net Total Chips (NTCs) – see the lobby to determine which type of tournament you are playing.

The DuplicatePoker lobby and tournament tables have a slick new look. The next time you play, the new software will automatically be downloaded to your computer. Let us know what you think of the vibrant new lobby and tables.
